HCL_ Network Data & Security, Cisco Firewall, checkpoint _ Hyderabad

Responsibilities:

• Firewall Management & Configuration:

  Installing, configuring, and maintaining Checkpoint and Cisco ASA firewalls, including related security appliances.

• Policy Management:

  Creating and managing firewall policies, rules, and NAT configurations to ensure secure network access and compliance with security standards.

• VPN Setup & Troubleshooting:

  Setting up and troubleshooting VPNs (IPsec, SSL) for secure remote access.

• Network Security Monitoring:

  Monitoring the health and performance of firewall devices and network traffic using tools like Wireshark to identify potential security threats.

• Troubleshooting Network Issues:

  Diagnosing and resolving network connectivity problems, including those related to switching infrastructure (VLANs, Port Security).

• Collaboration & Communication:

  Working with cross-functional teams to develop incident response plans, conduct vulnerability assessments, and provide technical guidance on network security best practices.

• Network Design & Implementation:

  Designing and implementing network security solutions based on organizational requirements and industry best practices.

Requirements:

• Strong Networking Fundamentals:

  Understanding of TCP/IP, OSI model, routing protocols (RIP, OSPF, EIGRP), and switching technologies.

• Firewall Expertise:

  Proficiency in configuring and managing Checkpoint firewalls and Cisco ASA firewalls.

• Security Tools Knowledge:

  Experience with vulnerability assessment tools like Nessus and packet analysis tools like Wireshark.

• Troubleshooting Skills:

  Ability to troubleshoot network connectivity issues and security incidents.

• Communication Skills:

  Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.

• Relevant Certifications:

  CCNA, CCNP, or other relevant networking and security certifications are often preferred
