Hardware Applications Engineer, Senior

Role Overview: As a Qualcomm Hardware Application Engineer, you play a crucial role in providing technical expertise on hardware to customers through trainings, product demonstrations, and supporting the design, debug, test, and quality of customer products. You collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate how Qualcomm products can fulfill and exceed customer requirements. Key Responsibilities: - Assist customers in designing IoT solutions using Qualcomm hardware and software - Support hardware design sign-offs, system/PCB/chip-level debugging, and ownership of design collaterals - Create chip and chipset documentation, reference schematics, and training materials for global customer support - Conduct hardware design reviews, respond to technical queries, and troubleshoot designs at system, SoC, and PCB levels Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field with 2+ years of Hardware Applications Engineering or Hardware Design experience; or Master's degree with 1+ year of experience; or PhD in related field - Strong understanding of Digital/baseband HW design and PCB design - Proficiency in troubleshooting and analyzing during board bring up - Knowledge of LDO/SMPS, power management, and high-speed digital interfaces - Experience with mobile and consumer electronics products - Hands-on experience with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and test tools - Familiarity with ARM processors, JTAG emulators, and display drivers - Understanding of PCB signal/power integrity and schematic entry - Ability to review PCB layout in CAD tools like Cadence Allegro and Siemens Mentor Graphics suite - Comfortable interacting with multi-geography customers and stakeholders Additional Company Details: Qualcomm is committed to providing an accessible process for individuals with disabilities during the application/hiring process.
