As a hairdresser, you will consult with clients to understand their needs and deliver hairstyles that meet or exceed expectations.Key Responsibilities:Greet clients and offer professional consultations on hairstyles, cuts, and color options.Wash, shampoo, condition, and treat hair.Cut, trim, and shape hair or hairpieces based on clients’ instructions or current trends.Perform hair coloring, highlighting, balayage, and other chemical treatments.Blow-dry, style, curl, straighten, and braid hair using various tools and techniques.Recommend haircare products and services suited to individual client needs.Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards of workstations and tools.Keep up with industry trends, techniques, and products.Ensure client satisfaction and build lasting relationships.Process payments and schedule appointments as needed.Qualifications and Skills:Certification or diploma from a recognized cosmetology or hairdressing school.State license (if required by local regulations).Proven experience as a hairdresser or stylist.Strong knowledge of hair care products, coloring techniques, and styling tools.Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.Creativity, attention to detail, and a sense of style.Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.Work Environment:Salon, spa, or freelance setting.Fast-paced and client-focused.May involve standing for long periods and exposure to hair chemicals.
