Role: Guidewire Rating Developer Location: Mumbai/Bangalore/Hyderabad/Kolkata Experience: 6-14 years Job description Job Summary: The Guidewire Rating Developer is tasked with the development and implementation of rating solutions within the Guidewire PolicyCenter. This includes creating custom rating logic and algorithms to support underwriting and pricing needs, ensuring compliance with business rules and regulations. Key Responsibilities: Rating Development: Develop custom rating logic and algorithms within Guidewire PolicyCenter to meet business requirements. Implement rating modifications and enhancements using Guidewire Studio and GOSU programming language. Analysis and Design: Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand rating requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Design rating models and structures that align with business objectives and regulatory standards. Integration and Configuration: Configure and integrate rating solutions with other PolicyCenter components and external systems. Ensure seamless data flow and communication between the rating engine and other modules. Testing and Validation: Develop and execute unit tests to ensure accuracy and performance of rating solutions. Work with QA teams to conduct system testing and validate rating functionality. Documentation: Prepare detailed documentation of rating configurations, algorithms, and changes. Maintain documentation for future reference and technical support. Support and Maintenance: Provide ongoing support for rating solutions, including troubleshooting and resolving issues. Stay informed on new Guidewire releases and incorporate updates into rating configurations. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Proven experience in developing rating solutions within Guidewire PolicyCenter. Proficient in GOSU programming and Guidewire Studio. Strong understanding of insurance rating processes and PolicyCenter functionality. Experience with software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Preferred Skills: Familiarity with other Guidewire modules such as ClaimCenter or BillingCenter. Experience with integration technologies like Web Services and APIs. Knowledge of XML, JSON, and other data interchange formats. Understanding of insurance industry standards and practices, particularly in underwriting and pricing.
