Job Description

As an experienced Guidewire PolicyCenter Rating Developer, your role will involve designing and developing rating logic, implementing integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality Guidewire solutions. - Design, develop, and configure Guidewire PolicyCenter Rating Engine, Product Model, and Product Designer components. - Develop and enhance rating algorithms, modifiers, and rate tables for multiple Lines of Business (LOBs). - Implement and maintain Gosu scripts, business rules, and plugins to support rating and integration logic. - Develop and test REST/SOAP APIs for PolicyCenter integrations with external systems (underwriting, pricing, or data services). - Collaborate with Business Analysts, Actuarial teams, and Integration developers to understand rating requirements and implement accurate solutions. - Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and integration testing to ensure code quality and system stability. - Debug and resolve rating-related issues, ensuring consistency across environments. - Support performance tuning, rate book management, and version control within PolicyCenter. - Contribute to Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, grooming, retrospectives) and maintain accurate technical documentation. Qualifications required: - 5-8 years of IT experience with at least 3+ years in Guidewire PolicyCenter (focus on Rating, Product Model, and Integrations). - Proficiency in Gosu programming and Guidewire Configuration Studio. - Strong understanding of Guidewire Rating Engine, Rate Books, Rate Tables, Coverage and Modifiers, and Product Designer. - Hands-on experience with API development and testing (REST/SOAP) using Postman. - Knowledge of Guidewire Integration Framework, Messaging, and Plugins. - Familiarity with Guidewire Studio, Product Model synchronization, and version upgrades. - Experience with insurance domain concepts (Personal or Commercial Lines). - Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills. - Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with tools like JIRA, Git, and Jenkins. Nice-to-Have: - Guidewire PolicyCenter Developer or Rating Certification. - Exposure to Guidewire Cloud and API Gateway integrations. - Experience with CI/CD pipelines and containerized environments (Docker/Kubernetes). - Familiarity with Underwriting rules and Policy lifecycle processes. Education: - Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.,
