Job Description

As a Product Consultant, your role involves various responsibilities including pre-sales activities, product consulting, project management, design and implementation, testing, innovation, capability building, knowledge management, and people management. Let's break down your key responsibilities: - **Pre-sales:** - Participate in presales interactions with customers when showcasing solutions. - Collaborate with solution response teams to ensure technical feasibility. - Assist the Product Consultant in creating case studies and solutions under guidance. - **Product Consulting:** - Analyze customer requirements and provide recommendations through customer interactions. - Coordinate with onsite teams/clients for requirements gathering and functional clarifications. - Identify enhancements to existing features to address repeated issues during implementation. - **Project Management:** - Create estimates for project planning. - Review all deliverables as per the delivery checklist and conduct mock testing. - Prepare status reports and share them with the Product Consultant for review. - Create impact analysis for change requests and seek reviews. - Interface with quality reviewers and auditors for projects. - **Design and Implementation:** - Monitor design, development, and testing to ensure alignment with requirements. - Guide product specialists in translating high-level designs into detailed designs. - Code for complex components and review code based on requirements. - Conduct peer design reviews and customer design meetings. - **Testing:** - Create unit test cases and perform unit testing, including complex components. - Assist the testing team by reviewing test strategy documents. - Provide UAT and implementation support. - **Innovation:** - Contribute ideas for improvements based on project implementation and team feedback. - Identify best practices related to the project/product and document them. - **Capability Building:** - Prepare guidelines and checklists for the team. - Create and deliver product/module training. - Mentor the team from a technical/functional perspective. - **Knowledge Management:** - Update knowledge assets and conduct knowledge transfer sessions for new joiners. - **People Management:** - Resolve conflicts within the team. - Support team building activities and provide administrative support. - Provide inputs on goal setting and performance appraisals. - Identify skill gaps and training needs. - Mentor team members and conduct training sessions. **Qualifications:** - Science/Engineering graduate **Must Have Skills:** - Guidewire - ClaimCenter **Good To Have Skills:** - Gosu - Business Scorecard - Web Services - Business Services - J2EE This job offers a diverse range of responsibilities where you will be involved in various aspects of product consulting, project management, design, testing, innovation, capability building, knowledge management, and people management.
