Job Description

Deliver high-quality results in complex problem-solving, including data gathering, processing, calculations, modeling, conceptualization, and report writing.
Collaborate closely with the rest of the groundwater resources team to achieve project goals.
Work on hydrogeological assessments and water resources modeling applications alongside a focus on groundwater modeling.
Develop and maintain conceptual and numerical models at a regional scale.
Communicate effectively with colleagues and clients to support collaborative working and build high-quality relationships.
Stay up-to-date with new technologies and trends in groundwater modeling.

Job Requirements

A degree in science, engineering, or mathematics, along with a post-graduate qualification in hydrogeology or a related field is required.
Demonstrable experience as a groundwater modeller within consultancy, water company, regulator, or academic fields.
Experience in building, developing, and updating conceptual and numerical models at a regional scale.
Strong understanding of UK hydrogeology and regulatory framework of UK water management.
Excellent numerical, analytical, report-writing, and presentational skills are essential.
Enthusiasm and motivation to solve challenging water resources problems within a high-achieving team environment.
Proficiency in MODFLOW and recharge models such as 4R or SWAc is desirable.
Ability to code (Python, R, Fortran, VBA) or skills in GIS.
An ability to develop new and innovative approaches is encouraged to help us continue to develop our digital tools.
Enthusiasm to continue to develop your skills and keep abreast of new and emerging technologies.
