Job Description

As a Grid Expert specializing in Substation Design & Commissioning, your role will involve reviewing Grid management, PSS, GSS, and Balance of Plant (BoP) design, drawing, and document submissions from EPC contractors. You will ensure compliance with industry best practices, international and local standards, as well as Engie's contractual and interfacing requirements for grid connection. Your responsibilities will include: - In charge of all aspects and documentation of the contractual negotiations during Business Development of all Technical-related agreements/bids - Ensuring timely and high-quality submission of grid connection deliverables required by Engie - Collaborating with other departments to provide requirements towards the Power Plant Controller performance - Supporting large-scale solar PV and Wind projects through development and construction regarding all grid-related matters - Reviewing Grid Codes Compliance for different operating entities/owners worldwide - Developing control strategy requirements for controller configurations - Performing and reviewing Voltage control, P/Q control, kVAR control in compliance with TSO/DSOs - Conducting grid stability analysis and studies for integrating renewable assets for grid forming & grid following control modes - Supporting the development of transmission and distribution connected products based on evolving codes, standards, and regulations - Liaising with stakeholders to optimize grid connection arrangements - Establishing relationships with grid stakeholders, public, and private local grid network operators - Performing technology watch and sharing knowledge within the ETSG team In order to qualify for this role, you should have: - Master/Bachelor degree in engineering from an AICTE recognized University - 12-15 years of experience in the power generation sector, ideally in Renewable/Solar & Wind sector - Specific knowledge and expertise in overseeing grid operations, deep understanding of grid infrastructure, energy distribution, and developing or reviewing GSS, PSS, and BoP in solar PV projects - Extensive experience with PSCAD, PSS/E, ETAP, DigSILENT - Deep understanding of Grid codes for APAC, AME, AEMO, Middle East - Background in undertaking grid connection studies using PSCAD, PSSE, and interpreting simulation study performance - Basic understanding of EHV/HV/MV/LV (DC & AC) electrical systems, including international practices on grid connection and electrical system integration & optimization - Knowledge and experience working on competitive tenders in different regions (National & International) would be advantageous Your expertise in grid management, deep understanding of grid infrastructure, and experience in overseeing grid operations will be instrumental in ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations for the successful implementation of grid connection solutions.
