Role & responsibilities : Patient and Visitor Interaction: Greeting and Direction: Serving as the first point of contact, the receptionist welcomes patients and visitors, answers questions, and directs them to the appropriate departments or individuals. Maintaining a Welcoming Environment: Creating a positive and organized atmosphere in the reception area is crucial. Scheduling and Confirming: Managing appointments for patients, including scheduling new appointments, confirming existing ones, and rescheduling as needed. Reminders: Sending appointment reminders to patients to minimize no-shows Communication: Answering Phones: Handling incoming calls, answering general inquiries, and directing calls to the appropriate staff or departments. Record Keeping Patient Information: Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records, including demographics, medical history, and insurance information. Filing and Data Entry: Handling administrative tasks such as filing documents, entering data into the system, and maintaining records. Billing and Payments: Processing payments, managing co-pays, and handling billing inquiries. Technical Proficiency: MS-Office Fluent English Communication Communication Tools: Effectively utilizing phones, computers, and other communication tools to manage patient information and interactions.
