Graphic Designer

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly creative and detail-oriented Graphic Designer and Video Editor to join our digital content team. The ideal candidate should be proficient in creating visually compelling graphics, motion content, and short-form videos tailored for social media platforms. A deep understanding of visual storytelling, platform aesthetics, and fast-paced content turnaround is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Graphic Design

- Design creatives, thumbnails, social media posts, posters, story templates, and carousels

- Create graphics for breaking news, live shows, explainers, events, and anchor-specific posts

- Ensure consistency in branding, typography, and visual style across all digital assets

- Collaborate with producers to package content visually for Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and WhatsApp

Video Editing

- Edit reels, shorts, promos, show teasers, and explainers for Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube

- Work on 60-second high-impact videos with engaging transitions, subtitles, and background music

- Create animated infographics, quote cards, and title slates for anchor segments

- Cut and assemble raw footage from shoots, events, or mobile Mojo clips into publish-ready content

Platform Understanding

- Create platform-specific visuals and edits (Reels, Shorts, LinkedIn graphics, X cards, etc.)

- Adapt designs to trending formats while keeping the brands editorial tone intact

- Use AI or automation tools where applicable for speed and quality enhancement

Key Skills & Tools:

- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Illustrator

- Familiarity with online editing tools like CapCut, Canva, VN, InShot (especially for reels/shorts)

- Strong knowledge of aspect ratios, resolution standards, and file optimization for digital publishing

- Basic animation and motion graphics experience is a strong advantage

- Creative thinking, strong visual aesthetics, and attention to detail

- Ability to work under tight deadlines and adapt to a real-time newsroom environment

Preferred Qualifications:

- degree in Design, Animation, Visual Communication, or a related field

- Prior experience in a newsroom, media house, or social media agency

- Understanding of editorial sensibility, anchor/show packaging, and brand alignment
