Graduate Trainee (Engineering)

Role & responsibilities

• Responsibility for production planning, targets fulfilment and production activities as per SOPs. Responsibility to implement the modifications and expansion programs of production department. Oversight and guidance of supervisors / shift in charge and operating personnel to carry out the production activities safely and effectively as per the SOPs.
• Overall responsibility/ oversight for production including capacity/ utilization/ OEE/ etc, raw material consumption ratios improvement, energy and electricity usage optimization, breakdown maintenance and resolution, regular maintenance plan development and implementation, etc.
• Collaboration with R&D Team for plant improvement initiative conception through root cause analysis, hypothesis on potential solutions, development and testing of pilot plant and potential solutions, economic and feasibility study of finalized solutions, collaboration with projects team for basic and detailed engineering, implementation of solution, etc.
• Identification of engineering requisitions related to production equipment breakdowns and preventive maintenance and coordinating with maintenance personnel to complete the jobs safely & effectively.
• Optimization of manpower resources planning including conception and implementation of time and motion studies, opportunities for automation/ efficiency improvement, tracking of manpower productivity per unit process, etc; Responsibility for identifying the needs of Training of all the personnel working under him to ensure the adequate awareness towards all requirements.
• Development of systematic protocol for each chemical unit process within plant including preparation of SOPs, BMSs, Protocols, reports, etc, identification of key tracking requirements for each unit process such as inputs/ temperature/ pressure/ flow/ etc, identification of potentially risky/ recurring problems for each unit process along with (1) clear resolution process and responsibility definition, and (2) monitoring process and escalation mechanism, etc.
• Knowledge on automatization of process plants including systems of DCS, PLC, experience with vendor search and selection, identification of key parameters for monitoring of vendor performance and automatization gains, etc.
• Preparation, maintenance, and refinement of daily and monthly reporting systems and MIS. Key responsibility includes accurate estimation of plant raw material input ratios.
• Responsibility for quality control within plant including oversight of raw material quality testing and refinement, identification and monitoring of key parameters throughout all unit processes of plant, maintenance of strict quality control on finished product, Investigation and reporting of all kinds of deviations to GM-Production/GM.
