Job Description

Direct Patient Care: Providing bedside care, assisting with daily living activities (bathing, feeding, etc.), and ensuring patient comfort. Medication Administration: Administering medications, injections, and infusions as prescribed by physicians. Monitoring and Assessment: Observing and recording vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure), monitoring patient condition, and reporting any changes to the medical team. Assisting with Procedures: Preparing patients for and assisting doctors during examinations, procedures, and treatments. Infection Control: Adhering to infection control protocols and maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients. Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records for each patient. Patient and Family Education: Providing information about health conditions, medications, and self-care techniques. Collaboration: Working as part of a healthcare team, communicating effectively with doctors, other nurses, and support staff. Technical Procedures: Performing tasks like catheterization, wound care, oxygen therapy, and specimen collection. Pre- and Post-Operative Care: Providing care to patients before and after surgical procedures. Escorting Patients: Accompanying patients to other departments for tests or procedures. Maintaining Equipment: Ensuring the proper functioning of medical equipment and reporting any malfunctions. Inventory Management: Maintaining an inventory of supplies and medications. Supervision: Supervising and guiding junior nursing staff and support staff. Emergency Response: Responding to emergencies and providing appropriate care.
