GM Head - Civil Engineering

Role & responsibilities Oversee civil Engineering activities, including roads, buildings, and plant structures. Ensure structural stability, design compliance, and environmental sustainability in all civil works. Approve and coordinate layout changes, structural expansions, and modifications as per production or business requirements. Knowledge of STAAD/ AutoCAD, MS Project/Primavera, SAP & ERP systems Ensure timely completion of civil engineering projects within budget. Implement best practices to maintain high standards. Identify and mitigate potential risks in civil engineering operations. Stakeholder Coordination: Work closely with engineering teams, contractors, and regulatory authorities. Ensure adherence to safety protocols and legal requirements. Drive cost-effective solutions and modern construction techniques. Develop team competencies, set KRAs, and monitor performance. Preferred candidate profile Strong knowledge in foundation engineering, structural design, site development, and construction management. Expertise in planning, budgeting, and execution of large-scale civil Engineering projects. Review & Approval of Technology supplier drawing in co-ordination withengineering consultants and project stake holders. Prepare contract BOQs and Bidder scope documents for finalizing the civil contracts in coordination with Procurement team. Familiarity with building codes, environmental regulations, and safety standards. Ability to lead teams, coordinate with stakeholders, and drive project efficiency. Lead the Design, planning, and execution of civil and infrastructure projects at the plant or industrial sites. Manage the complete lifecycle of civil Engineering projects: feasibility, budgeting, design and Engineering Identify, Evaluate and Finalize competitive Engineering vendors, consultants, architects, and contractors. Negotiate contracts, manage procurement of civil materials, and monitor work quality.
