GitHub Architect

As a GitHub Architect at our organization, your primary responsibility will be to design, implement, and maintain enterprise-level GitHub solutions to facilitate secure, scalable, and efficient software development workflows. You will play a crucial role in defining best practices for repository management, CI/CD pipelines, automation, and integration with other DevOps tools, all while ensuring compliance and governance across the organization. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and maintain GitHub Enterprise architecture in alignment with organizational goals. - Extensively work with GitHub API to enhance platform capabilities. - Design scalable repository structures, branching strategies, and workflow automation. - Implement security policies, access controls, and compliance standards to ensure secure GitHub usage. - Ensure adherence to code quality, vulnerability scanning, and audit requirements. - Integrate GitHub with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and Azure DevOps. - Automate workflows for code reviews, deployments, and release management. - Define and promote best practices for developers and teams utilizing GitHub. - Conduct training sessions and create documentation to facilitate effective GitHub usage. - Monitor GitHub performance, usage metrics, and optimize for efficiency. - Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to GitHub repositories and workflows. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. - Possess a minimum of 10 years of experience in software development roles, with at least 3 years focused on GitHub architecture. - Strong expertise in GitHub Enterprise administration and architecture. - Proficiency in Git, branching strategies, and version control best practices. - Experience with CI/CD pipelines, GitHub Actions, and automation scripting. - Knowledge of security and compliance standards for source code management. - Familiarity with DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Docker, and Kubernetes. - Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
