GIS Technical Lead and Analyst

As a Lead GIS Analyst at our talent & workforce solutions firm specializing in technical professionals for infrastructure, utilities, urban planning, and geospatial services, you will play a crucial role in driving technical delivery for large-scale on-site geospatial programs across India. Your responsibilities will include: - Leading and delivering end-to-end GIS solutions for on-site projects, encompassing data acquisition, modeling, processing, analysis, and map/application deployment. - Designing and maintaining geospatial data models, workflows, and ETL pipelines to ensure data integrity, metadata standards, and version control. - Administering GIS servers and databases (ArcGIS Enterprise, PostGIS) to optimize performance, security, backups, and access controls. - Developing mapping and web GIS applications using tools such as Python, GDAL, GeoServer, or JS mapping libraries and integrating spatial services with enterprise systems. - Performing advanced spatial analysis, remote sensing/LiDAR processing, and producing maps, reports, and dashboards for stakeholders. - Mentoring junior GIS staff, coordinating with cross-functional teams, managing vendor/field survey activities, and enforcing GIS best practices and QA/QC. In terms of skills and qualifications, you must have expertise in: Must-Have (technical skills): - ArcGIS Pro - ArcGIS Enterprise - QGIS - PostGIS - PostgreSQL - Python Preferred: - GDAL/OGR - GeoServer - LiDAR processing/remote sensing tools Qualifications & Experience: - Bachelor's degree in Geomatics, Geography, Civil Engineering, Remote Sensing, or related field (or equivalent experience). - Proven track record of delivering on-site GIS programs, leading teams, and engaging stakeholders. - Strong understanding of spatial data standards, QA/QC, and production workflows for mapping and asset management.
