Job Description

Collect, manage, analyze, and interpret spatial data for urban planning projects.
Prepare high-quality maps, reports, and presentations using GIS software (ArcGIS, QGIS, etc. ).
Support urban planners and architects with accurate geospatial analysis and visualization.
Integrate GIS data from multiple sources such as satellite imagery, survey data, and municipal records.
Conduct spatial analysis such as land use planning, zoning, and demographic studies.
Maintain and update GIS databases and metadata regularly.
Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to deliver geospatial solutions.
Assist in field data collection and verification, if needed.
Ensure data quality, accuracy, and compliance with project standards.

Profile/Skills:

Bachelor s/master s degree in GIS, Geography, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
3-5 years of hands-on experience in GIS, preferably on urban planning or related projects.
Proficient in GIS software such as ArcGIS, QGIS, AutoCAD, and other mapping tools.
Experience in data processing, spatial analysis, and geodatabase management.
Familiarity with urban planning concepts and land use analysis.
Good understanding of remote sensing data and integration with GIS workflows.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Knowledge of programming/scripting languages (Python, SQL) for GIS automation.
Experience with web mapping tools (ArcGIS Online, Mapbox, etc. ).
Previous work with government or municipal urban planning projects.
Experience in report writing and technical documentation.
