GIS Analyst (immediate joiners) Govt. Broadband project in Gurugram

We are Hiring GIS Analyst and looking for immediate joiners for a Government Broadband Project BharatNet Project on a contract of one year. based in Gurugram. Location : Gurugram Project : BharatNet Government of Indias Rural Broadband Project CTC: Upto 7 LPA (on payroll of GIST) Qualification: Any Graduate Job Openings: 50 Employment Type : Full-Time & Contractual Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented GIS Analyst to support the ongoing implementation and monitoring of the BharatNet project . The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of hands-on experience with GIS software and a strong understanding of telecom infrastructure, particularly Optical Fiber Cable (OFC) networks . Prior experience in telecom/OFC projects will be a significant advantage. Key Responsibilities Develop, update, and maintain GIS datasets related to telecom infrastructure, specifically fiber optic networks. Analyze spatial data to support planning, deployment, and monitoring of BharatNet network rollout. Generate accurate maps, reports, and visualizations for project teams and stakeholders. Collaborate with field teams to ensure accuracy and completeness of geospatial data. Perform quality checks and validation of GIS data received from contractors and implementation partners. Integrate GIS data with project management and asset tracking tools. Support feasibility analysis, route planning, and network optimization using GIS tools. Ensure adherence to data standards and protocols as per BSNL and BharatNet guidelines. Required Skills & Qualifications Experience in working with GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS, Google Earth, etc.). Strong knowledge of spatial data formats, projections, and GIS database management. Proficiency in digitization, georeferencing, and spatial analysis techniques. Experience in working with satellite imagery and topographic data is a plus. Basic understanding of telecom project execution processes is beneficial. Excellent communication, analytical, and teamwork skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience in government telecom infrastructure projects such as BharatNet, NOFN, or NFS. Exposure to GPS data collection and post-processing.
