Mine Geologist (Open-Cast Mining Rock Phosphate)

Mine Geologist

Key Responsibilities

Geological mapping and documentation of
Rock Phosphate open-cast mine workings
Identification, classification, and handling of secondary ore
during mining operations
Grade control sampling, logging, and interpretation of mineralized and secondary ore zones
Preparation and updating of geological plans, sections, and statutory reports
Estimation of
Rock Phosphate reserves and resources
, including secondary ore material
Coordination with mining, survey, and production teams for optimized mine planning and ore blending
Monitoring lithology, mineralization, structural features, and secondary ore generation during excavation
Ensuring compliance with
DGMS
and statutory geological reporting requirements
Maintaining accurate geological databases, logs, and records related to primary and secondary ore
