Geographic Information Systems Engineer

As a GIS Engineer at Lepton Software, you will play a crucial role in the production and management of geospatial data for various projects. Your responsibilities will include engaging in geospatial data production through digitization and geocoding processes, as well as collecting, processing, and managing spatial data to ensure accuracy and integrity. You will be expected to integrate GIS solutions with existing systems, customize applications according to client requirements, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver comprehensive GIS solutions. Meeting project SLAs by producing quality work within specified timelines is essential. Your attention to detail will be critical in producing precise and accurate geospatial data, and you may also be required to participate in field surveys to collect accurate information. Technical proficiency, including a strong understanding of GIS concepts and software tools, is necessary. Expertise in GIS tools such as ArcGIS, QGIS, MapInfo, GeoServer, and AutoCAD is required. You should be adaptable, willing to participate in fieldwork, and perform data entry and data mining tasks. Experience in data capturing using satellite imagery in ARCGIS, AutoCAD, or QGIS, as well as proficiency in online tools like Google Drive and Google Sheets, is expected. Familiarity with CAD tools and the ability to travel to other cities based on project requirements are also necessary. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in GIS application development and implementation, along with a Bachelors, Masters, or Diploma in Geography, Geoinformatics, Civil Engineering, or related fields. Certifications in GIS technologies or related areas would be advantageous.,
