General Surgeon

Job Summary:

The General Surgeon is responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing patients requiring surgical intervention. This includes performing elective and emergency surgeries, providing pre-operative and post-operative care, and working collaboratively with other medical professionals to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform general surgical procedures including abdominal, gastrointestinal, soft tissue, and minor surgeries.
• Assess patients through medical history, physical examination, and diagnostic tests.
• Provide pre-operative counseling and obtain informed consent.
• Manage post-operative care, follow-ups, and complications.
• Handle emergency surgical cases as required.
• Maintain accurate and complete patient medical records.
• Ensure adherence to hospital policies, clinical protocols, and safety standards.
• Collaborate with anesthetists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
• Participate in ward rounds, outpatient clinics, and on-call duties.
• Guide and supervise junior doctors, interns, or nursing staff when applicable.
• Stay updated with current medical knowledge and surgical techniques.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• MBBS with MS (General Surgery) / DNB (General Surgery).
• Valid Medical Council / State Medical Council registration.
• Proven experience in general surgical procedures.
• Strong clinical, diagnostic, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage emergencies.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Working Conditions:

• Hospital-based role with OPD, ward, and operation theatre duties.
• Rotational shifts and emergency on-call duties as required.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresher

Pay: Up to ₹90,000.00 per month
