Job Responsibility
Project Leadership & Management
- Hold overall accountability for the successful planning, execution, monitoring, control, and closure of all capital and infrastructure projects.
- Lead management reviews and strategic presentations for conceptual planning and design phases, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and regulatory expectations.
- Direct and oversee cross-functional project teams across civil, mechanical, electrical, automation, EHS, administration, and utility disciplines, ensuring cohesive execution and alignment with strategic objectives.
- Ensure seamless project execution in alignment with corporate goals, regulatory requirements, and quality/safety standards.
Project Budgeting & Approvals
- Lead preparation of detailed project budgets, including CAPEX estimation, cash flow planning, cost breakdowns, and financial forecasting.
- Drive management reviews and presentations for budgetary approvals and financial sanctioning.
- Prepare and present project updates, risk reports, CAPEX justifications, and progress dashboards to senior management for timely approvals and interventions.
- Monitor and control expenditures throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring strict adherence to approved budgets and providing justifications for any variances.
Planning & Coordination
- Lead the development and execution of integrated project schedules, resource allocation plans, and milestone-based tracking systems.
- Facilitate coordination between engineering, production, QA/QC, warehouse, procurement, and finance to ensure seamless interdepartmental communication and execution.
- Ensure effective delegation of responsibilities based on team members strengths, optimize overall team efficiency, and establish clear accountability across all departments.
Design & Engineering Oversight
- Review, validate, and approve all design deliverables and engineering documents, including:
- URS, DQ, BOQ, and technical specifications
- Layouts, P&IDs, GA drawings, and compliance documentation
- Ensure robust and timely engineering inputs across all major systems, including:
oCivil and Structural Works
oHVAC, Water Systems, and UtilitiesoElectrical Power Distribution and Control SystemsoAutomation SystemsoProcess EquipmentoETP/STP SystemsoSolvent Storage and Distribution SystemsVendor & Contractor Management
- Evaluate and finalize specifications, participate in techno-commercial evaluations, and oversee procurement processes.
- Approve vendor selections and manage performance of contractors, consultants, and OEMs.
- Ensure execution of contracts in strict accordance with defined technical specifications, quality benchmarks, project timelines, and approved budgetary provisions.
Construction & Execution Oversight
- Supervise on-site execution across all disciplines, ensuring adherence to design, safety standards, GEP, and project milestones.
- Approve key engineering drawings including GA, P&IDs, SLDs, and load schedules.
- Facilitate issue resolution and implement corrective actions during execution.
EHS Compliance & Government & Management Approvals
- Ensure adherence to EHS policies and legal requirements through effective risk assessment, implementation of safety measures, and coordination with authorities for necessary clearances and approvals.
- Coordinate with statutory bodies (e.g., FDA, PESO, Factory Inspectorate) for project-related permissions and compliance inspections.
Commissioning, Qualification & Handover
- Oversee and monitor the commissioning, qualification, and validation activities.
- Drive systematic handover to operations teams post-validation.
Innovation & Continuous Improvement
- Lead the adoption of sustainable, energy-efficient design strategies and advanced technologies to enhance system performance, reduce lifecycle costs, and enable data-driven operations.
- Ensure integration of automation and intelligent systems to improve process control, operational agility, and long-term scalability.
- Establish a culture of innovation and continuous improvement across all project phasesfrom conceptual design through execution and commissioningto ensure excellence in delivery and long-term operational value.
Team Development & Leadership
- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing multidisciplinary team.
- Establish a culture of ownership, innovation, and accountability through ongoing feedback, performance reviews, and capability-building initiatives.
