General and Operational Accounting Advisor

As a Financial Analyst at the company, your role involves discussing new contracts with Business Controllers to understand financial impact, timing, etc. You will be required to liaise with other teams such as Order Management, Finance Operations, and Contract Management on specific orders. Your contribution as a partner in the accounting process will be crucial as you recommend ways to improve efficiency. Your key responsibilities will include processing month-end activities, which involves the preparation and processing of month-end journal entries for revenue and COGS. It will be your responsibility to ensure that revenue and COGS are complete for the month. You will conduct in-depth financial analysis to provide insights into the organization's financial performance, trends, and opportunities for improvement. This analysis will cover revenue, expenses, and cost control measures. In addition, you will monitor and control budgetary allocations and expenditure across various business areas and/or projects. Identifying variances and implementing corrective actions as needed will be part of your role. You will also prepare annual audit information for external auditors on specific balance sheet accounts. Collaborating closely with outsourced service providers to support the level of service provided to the NL organization will be essential. Furthermore, you will support monthly balance sheet reviews with EU and Group Finance for the relevant balance sheet accounts. Your involvement in the Planning & Control cycle will include supporting the preparation of reports, forecasts, budgets, and variance analysis. Reporting to and cooperating with internal and external stakeholders in an independent, timely, and accurate manner will be expected from you. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field - Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial analysis or a similar role - Strong proficiency in financial modeling and analysis - Knowledge of accounting principles and practices - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams The above responsibilities highlight the key aspects of your role as a Financial Analyst at the company.
