Gem Portal Operator

Job Summary: The GeM (Government e-Marketplace) Operator is responsible for managing all procurement activities through the GeM portal in accordance with Government of India procurement guidelines. This role ensures smooth, transparent, and compliant purchases of goods and services using the GeM platform, supporting the organization's procurement goals and budgetary compliance. Key Responsibilities: Register and maintain the organization's profile on the GeM portal. Upload product and service requirements, float bids, and manage online tenders through the GeM portal. Monitor and manage procurement workflows, approvals, and documentation as per government norms. Coordinate with internal departments to collect procurement requirements and specifications. Compare vendor quotations, evaluate bids, and prepare comparative statements. Communicate with GeM-registered vendors for clarifications, negotiations, and timely delivery follow-ups. Ensure timely issuance of Purchase Orders (POs) and Goods Receipt Notes (GRNs). Maintain records of all procurement activities and documentation for audits and inspections. Stay up to date with the latest updates, circulars, and policies issued by the GeM portal and related ministries.
