GCP Engineer/Consultant Specialist

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Consultant Specialist.

In this role, you will:

• Design, build, and maintaindata pipelinesinBigQuery SQLto extract, transform, and load data into data assets.

• Develop and optimizeBigQuery proceduresto process, validate, and streamline data operations.

• Create and maintain project-related artifacts and documentation.

• Clear any technical blockers for the team for the seamless development.

• Adhere toData Engineering Process Lifecycle (DEPL)andSoftware Development Lifecycle (SDLC)controls during build, deployment, and maintenance phases.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document data requirements for medium to high complexity and risk projects.

• Document and map interactions (STM) between business processes, information, and data for projects.

• Define and enforce standards, guidelines, and processes forData Warehouse (DWH),ETL, andDatabase Development.

• Proactively communicate with team members, managers, and project managers to identify and mitigate risks during the project lifecycle.

• Contribute to the development and implementation of standards and tools forETLandDWH.

• Drive the adoption of organizational standards and ensure alignment withHSBC methodology.

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

• Minimum 7 years of work experience, preferably in theFinancial domain (Banking).

• Strong knowledge ofGCPand its ecosystem.

• Hands-on experience withBigQuery,GCS,Cloud Functions,Cloud Composer, andGCP SDK.

• Proficiency inDevOps toolssuch asGitHub,Jenkins, andGCP Build.

• Strong understanding ofData Modeling(Conceptual, Logical, and Physical).

• Familiarity withMachine Learning (ML),Large Language Models (LLMs), and orchestration frameworks is a plus.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills presentation skills are a plus.

• Strong prioritization and time management skills.

• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines efficiently.

• Ability to work autonomously while thriving in a collaborative team environment.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills for effective communication and collaboration.

• Understanding ofMLandLLMs.

• Experience with orchestration frameworks.
