Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and optimize data pipelines using

  GCP services

  such as:

• BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, Cloud Composer

• Build ETL/ELT pipelines for ingesting structured and unstructured data from various sources.
  
• Implement data quality checks, data governance, and monitoring mechanisms.
  
• Collaborate with data analysts, scientists, and application developers to ensure data accessibility and usability.
  
• Develop and maintain scalable data models and warehouse solutions in BigQuery.
  
• Automate data workflows using orchestration tools like

  Cloud Composer

  (Airflow).
• Ensure security, compliance, and cost-efficiency in cloud-based data solutions.
  
• Support real-time and batch data processing systems.
  

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  
• 3+ years of data engineering experience.
  
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with

  Google Cloud Platform

  and its data services.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with performance tuning in

  BigQuery

  .
• Proficiency in

  Python

  ,

  Java

  , or

  Scala

  for data processing.
• Experience with

  Apache Beam

  ,

  Apache Spark

  , or

  Dataflow

  .
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and architecture.
  
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD for data pipelines.
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• GCP Professional Data Engineer certification.
  
• Experience with

  Terraform

  ,

  Cloud Functions

  , or

  Looker

  .
• Background in machine learning data pipelines or MLOps.
  
• Experience with real-time streaming data using

  Pub/Sub

  or

  Kafka

  .
• Familiarity with data privacy, security, and regulatory standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
