Job Description

You will be joining Siemens Energy as an experienced professional responsible for assessing flows, thermals, and displacements to support R&D projects of Gas turbines. Your main tasks will include developing and analyzing Secondary air system (SAS) & Whole engine (WE) models, owning and updating the models for various gas turbine designs, providing support for design trade studies, engine performance tests, and commissioning support. Additionally, you will incorporate best practices from Siemens gas turbines, develop instrumentation and testing plans, perform Risk assessments (FMEA), lead resolution of operational issues, and work with gas turbine component design groups. To excel in this role, you should have a Bachelor/Masters Degree in Mechanical/Aerospace engineering discipline with over 7 years of experience in Gas turbine Secondary air system calculation, whole engine modeling, and sealing design. You should possess detailed knowledge of gas turbine clearance modeling, gas turbine operations, Heat transfer, Fluid Mechanics, sealing technologies, fluid-structure interaction modeling, and conjugate thermal analysis.
