Garment Merchandiser

About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Garment Merchandiser to join our team. The ideal candidate will manage the end-to-end merchandising process — from product development to final shipment — ensuring on-time delivery, quality control, and smooth communication between buyers, suppliers, and production teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate with buyers, suppliers, and factories on product design, fabric selection, and order details.
• Monitor the entire production cycle: sampling, approvals, production, and shipment.
• Prepare and manage Time & Action (T&A) calendars to ensure deadlines are met.
• Follow up on lab dips, trims, fabric quality, and fit samples for buyer approval.
• Communicate daily with vendors to track production status and resolve issues.
• Ensure all garments meet buyer specifications, quality standards, and compliance requirements.
• Work closely with the quality control team for inspections and final audits.
• Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and order quantities to maintain profitability.
• Maintain accurate records of orders, approvals, and production reports.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Textile, Fashion Merchandising, or Apparel Production.
• 2–5 years of experience in garment merchandising or apparel sourcing.
• Strong knowledge of fabrics, trims, garment construction, and production processes.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Proficient in MS Office, Excel, and ERP/Merchandising software.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work under tight deadlines.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with international buyers or export markets.
• Knowledge of cost sheets, consumption calculation, and vendor management.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
