Garden supervisor

The Garden Supervisor oversees the maintenance and development of gardens, landscapes, and green spaces. This role involves supervising gardening staff, planning horticultural activities, ensuring high standards of plant care, and maintaining aesthetic appeal in line with the organization’s vision.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise, train, and coordinate gardeners and ground staff in daily activities.
• Allocate tasks and monitor progress to ensure timely completion of work schedules.
• Provide guidance on gardening techniques, equipment use, and safety protocols.
• Oversee planting, pruning, watering, weeding, mowing, fertilizing, pest control, and other horticultural tasks.
• Inspect gardens regularly to assess plant health, identify diseases or pests, and recommend treatments.
• Maintain garden structures (e.g., trellises, pathways, irrigation systems).
• Assist with implementing garden projects, renovations, or new installations.
• Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, fertilizers, and other supplies.
• Maintain logs of daily activities, plant care schedules, and chemical applications.
• Prepare reports on garden condition, resource requirements, and completed tasks.
• Interact with visitors, residents, or clients to answer queries related to gardens.
• Support events or activities held in garden spaces.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in garden maintenance.
• Diploma or Degree in related field preferred.
• Sound knowledge of plant care, soil conditions, irrigation, fertilizers, and pest management.
• Leadership and team management skills.
• Ability to operate and maintain horticultural tools and machinery.
• Physical fitness and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and passion for gardening.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
