Job Overview The EMEA Payroll Staff will support Qualcomm's EMEA Payroll operations, ensuring efficient and compliant payroll processing for over 5,000 employees across multiple countries including the UK, Ireland, France, Sweden, and the Netherlands. Reporting to the Payroll Manager in Hyderabad, this role involves overseeing payroll processes, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, and coaching junior team members. The ideal candidate will have strong multi-country payroll experience, excellent communication skills, and demonstrated leadership capabilities. Responsibilities Manage EMEA payroll operations across multiple countries, including payroll processing, ESPP and RSU stock reporting, benefits, tax, and social insurance compliance. Review and approve monthly payrolls for accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance. Ensure operational controls are in place and adhered to for processes such as new hires, terminations, and one-time payments. Collaborate closely with global payroll teams, payroll partners, and internal stakeholders on payroll processing and projects. Analyze payroll processes to identify improvements and maintain global consistency where applicable. Liaise with external auditors and manage payroll-related audits. Lead initiatives to improve payroll KPIs. Coach and guide junior payroll team members. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent foundation degree. 10-12 years of EMEA payroll experience with demonstrable expertise in multi-country payroll. Minimum 3 years of people management experience. Experience working in a multinational organization. Expert knowledge of ADP GlobalView and Workday payroll systems. Strong understanding of payroll systems, workflows, tax, social security, and compliance across multiple EMEA countries. Fluent English communication skills (written and spoken). Knowledge of taxable/non-taxable earnings, payroll tax laws, and complex employee benefits. Proven ability to design and implement payroll processes, controls, and systems. Solid understanding of equity-related transactions (RSU, ESPP). Excellent multitasking, organizational, and numerical skills with high attention to detail. Strong payroll accounting and reconciliation experience. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in Accounting or related field. Proficiency in French or other European languages. Hands-on experience with payrolls of France, Sweden, and UK. Payroll certification is a plus. Experience with ADP GlobalView end-to-end implementation projects. Exposure to mergers and acquisitions payroll processes.
