Game Design Faculty

Role Overview: As a Game Designer, your main responsibility will be to train Game Design Degree students who aspire to become Professional Game Designers. You will be expected to provide guidance and instruction to students in accordance with industry standards, collaborating with other game and animation faculty members within the college. Key Responsibilities: - Demonstrate very good communication skills to effectively convey game design concepts to students. - Understand the importance of pacing, narrative, theme, and mechanics in creating engaging gameplay experiences. - Utilize your experience working with Free-to-Play (F2P) mobile games to enhance student learning. - Possess working knowledge of the Unity/Unreal engine to teach students about game development platforms. - Stay updated on past and current game trends to incorporate relevant knowledge into your teaching. - Use your experience in creating casual and/or mobile games to inspire and guide students in their projects. - Conceptualize games and develop the entire game architecture, providing hands-on experience to students. - Apply your minimum 2-5 years of experience as a Game Designer to mentor and support aspiring designers. - Have a thorough understanding of the game production pipeline from pre-production to the final product, guiding students through each stage.
