Game Artist

As a Game Artist at Avakai Games, you will collaborate closely with game designers and producers to bring game titles to life through art. Your role will involve handling end-to-end art requirements for games, including sketching concepts, developing art styles, and creating game assets. You will need to be adaptable to various art styles across different game titles. Responsibilities: - Create high-caliber art, focusing on character design, environmental design, set design, colour theory, layout, and animation. - Stay updated on the latest techniques for creating optimized game art and animations. - Develop art and animation for all game aspects with minimal guidance. - Design art for different themes and platforms, showcasing a keen eye for composition and color. - Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Illustrator and Photoshop. Knowledge of Flash is a plus. - Familiarity with software like Spline is advantageous. - Understanding of production pipeline using Unity engine. - Experience with Unity's animation system is a bonus. - Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work closely with fellow artists, game designers, and programmers. - Stay motivated and driven towards creating standout games with broad appeal. - Manage responsibilities across multiple projects effectively. - Keep updated with the latest mobile games and art styles. Qualifications: - Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Illustrator and Photoshop. - Knowledge of Unity engine and its animation system. - Strong portfolio showcasing character design, environment design, and animation abilities. - Excellent teamwork and communication skills. - Motivated and excited about game art and design. - Ability to work under minimal supervision and respond well to artistic direction.
