Role Summary We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic Tendering team. In this role, you will be responsible for the electrical engineering aspects of bid preparation. You will analyze tender documents, perform technical and commercial evaluations, prepare cost estimates, and develop comprehensive technical proposals. Your expertise will be critical in ensuring our bids are technically compliant, competitive, and profitable. Key Responsibilities 1. Tender Analysis & Review: Carefully analyze all incoming tender documents (RFQ, RFP, ITT) to understand client requirements, technical specifications, and commercial conditions. Identify key electrical risks, opportunities, and deviations from standard practices. 2. Technical Proposal Development: Prepare detailed technical write-ups, method statements, and project execution plans for the electrical scope of work. Select and specify appropriate electrical equipment (e.g., transformers, switchgear, cables, protection systems, MCCs, lighting systems) 3. Cost Estimation & Commercial Proposal: Prepare accurate Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and material take-offs from drawings and specifications. Solicit and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors for electrical equipment and services. 4. Documentation & Handover: Compile all technical and commercial documents into a cohesive, high-quality submission package. Upon project award, conduct a thorough handover to the project execution team.
