As a Furniture Designer, your role involves designing various types of furniture such as commercial, residential, retail, and luxury furniture including modular designs. You will be responsible for preparing Presentation Drawings, detailed working drawings, and having a strong knowledge of furniture production. Your expertise in producing Production drawings, Dimensional drawings, Main assembly drawings, and Parts drawings is crucial for this role. Additionally, you must have experience in Furniture Designing, Costing, BOM, production, and execution for all types of furniture. Key Responsibilities: - Collaborate with Product Engineers and Procurement Managers on material selections - Interface with other departments to provide technical insights and solutions for resolving technical issues - Utilize computer-aided design software such as AutoCAD, Inventor, SolidWorks, and Photoshop to generate sample designs and prepare detailed final designs - Stay updated with industry trends, furniture systems, materials, finishes, and techniques Qualifications & Skills: - Minimum Bachelor's or PG Degree in Furniture Design or a related discipline - 5-10 years of relevant experience in Furniture Designing, production, and execution for retail, hospitality, and residential projects - Proficiency in AutoCAD, Google Sketch Up, 3d Max, Rendering, Photoshop, and other related software - Strong knowledge of Furniture Designing, bills of materials, finishes, and industry trends - Creative and practical ability, drawing skills, and strong visual awareness - Excellent communication and collaborative skills, especially in a multidisciplinary practice This job requires a candidate with a strong background in Furniture Designing, production, and execution, along with proficiency in various design software and a keen understanding of industry trends and materials.
