As a part of the Corporate Counsel Team at Franklin Templeton, you will be responsible for providing legal counsel for the Mutual Fund, Alternative Investments Fund, and Portfolio Management business in India. You will need to showcase expertise in securities laws, corporate and business law, and possess experience in fund and investment documentation. Your role will involve the preparation, review, and negotiation of legal documents and agreements, along with collaborating with internal groups such as Investment teams, Product, Finance, Tax, Distribution, Marketing, and HR. To excel in this role, the ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications and skills: Education Qualification: - Bachelors degree in law from a recognized university - Company Secretaryship (an added advantage) - Registered with the Bar Council of India Experience: - Minimum of 8 years of experience as a legal counsel in a law firm or corporate legal department Required Skills: - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Strong analytical and negotiation skills - Comprehensive understanding of corporate and securities laws - Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting Other Skills: - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail - Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously Your work shift timings will be from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM IST. Principal Accountabilities Service Delivery Monitor the timely and accurate receipt of client and investor communications via fax and email . Ensure all investor activities and transactions are processed promptly and in full compliance with fund documentation, anti-money laundering (AML) requirements, statutory regulations, and internal policies. Open new investor accounts ensuring all due diligence and KYC/AML documentation requirements are satisfied. Accurately process investor subscriptions, redemptions, and transfers as per fund guidelines and regulatory standards. Handle follow-up queries from investors in a professional and timely manner, escalating issues when necessary. Respond to routine email and fax queries from investors and fund managers in a prompt and courteous manner . Deliver accurate and timely investor communications such as statements, contract notes, and other relevant documentation. Regulatory and Policy Compliance Maintain a detailed knowledge of relevant fund offering documentation (prospectus, subscription agreements, etc.). Demonstrate thorough understanding of local and international regulations applicable to the fund domicile. Ensure strict adherence to all internal policies and procedures , with a strong focus on AML and compliance controls . Preferred Qualifications and Skills Several years of prior experience in financial services, particularly in investor services or fund operations . Knowledge of hedge fund processing and experience working with alternative investment structures is a strong advantage. Strong administrative and organizational skills , with keen attention to accuracy and detail . Proven ability to manage pressure and high workloads , especially during peak periods such as month-end or NAV cut-offs. Ability to work effectively as part of a global/virtual team across different time zones and geographies. Proficiency in financial systems and standard IT tools (e.g., Excel, workflow tools, transfer agency platforms). A third-level qualification , preferably in a business, finance, or numerical discipline .

Key Responsibilities: Fund Structuring & Management: Design and manage real estate investment funds (AIFs, SPVs, REITs) tailored to Ridhira's resort and wellness-driven real estate assets. Oversee fund governance, reporting, and compliance in line with SEBI regulations and industry best practices. Drive capital deployment strategies aligned with project timelines and ROI expectations. Capital Markets & Fundraising: Lead capital raising efforts targeting domestic and international investors (HNIs, family offices, institutional funds, NBFCs). Build and manage investor relations, presenting fund performance and investment opportunities. Prepare and pitch investment decks, financial models, and fund brochures. Investment Strategy & Execution: Evaluate and underwrite investment opportunities across Ridhira's development portfolio including luxury resorts, villas, and mixed-use wellness projects. Conduct in-depth financial modeling, scenario analysis, and risk assessment for each project. Collaborate with project, finance, and development teams to align capital strategy with execution. Portfolio Performance & Exit Planning: Track fund and asset performance using defined KPIs and benchmark returns. Identify exit opportunities, manage divestment processes, and deliver profitable outcomes to investors. Liaise with internal and external auditors, legal counsel, and compliance teams for periodic fund assessments. Candidate Profile: Experience: 1015 years of experience in capital markets, fund management, or investment advisory with exposure to real estate asset classes. Strong preference for candidates with past roles in CBRE Capital Advisors , JLL Capital Markets , Knight Frank , or similar investment advisory firms. Hands-on experience in setting up and managing private equity real estate funds, AIFs, or REITs. Education: MBA (Finance) / CA / CFA or equivalent qualification. Additional certifications in investment management or real estate finance will be an advantage. Skills & Attributes: Deep understanding of Indian real estate capital markets, fundraising processes, and investor expectations. Strong network of HNIs, family offices, and institutional investors. Expertise in financial modeling, due diligence, fund documentation, and regulatory compliance. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
