Functional Lead (SAP S/4HANA)

As an experienced Global Delivery Centre (GDC) Functional Lead, your role will involve overseeing a team of functional consultants delivering SAP S/4HANA solutions for global programs. Your responsibilities will include: - Leadership & Team Management: - Leading and mentoring a team of SAP functional consultants across various S/4HANA modules. - Effectively allocating resources across projects to ensure optimal utilization and capability development. - Driving performance management, skill development, and career growth of the functional team. - Delivery & Governance: - Overseeing end-to-end delivery of SAP S/4HANA implementations, rollouts, and support engagements. - Ensuring compliance with delivery standards, methodologies, and quality frameworks. - Monitoring project KPIs and proactively addressing delivery risks/issues. - Functional Expertise: - Providing solution leadership, validating functional designs, and resolving critical issues/escalations. - Collaborating with global architecture and COE teams to drive best practices and innovation. - Guiding functional teams in delivering fit-gap analysis, configuration, testing, and integration. - Stakeholder Management: - Acting as a key point of contact for business leads, global process owners, and delivery leadership. - Supporting pre-sales activities, proposal creation, and solutioning. - Facilitating effective communication between teams and client stakeholders. - Continuous Improvement: - Driving automation, accelerators, and reusable assets to improve delivery efficiency. - Identifying training needs to keep the team updated on S/4HANA innovations and best practices. Qualifications & Experience: - Education: Bachelors / Masters degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field. - Experience: - 12+ years overall SAP experience with at least 5+ years in SAP S/4HANA implementations. - Prior experience managing medium-to-large functional teams in a global delivery model. - Strong understanding of end-to-end S/4 business processes. - Certifications: SAP S/4HANA certification (Functional/Cloud) preferred; PMP/ITIL is a plus. Key Skills: - Strong functional depth in at least one S/4 module with good cross-module understanding. - Excellent team leadership, people management, and communication skills. - Solid delivery governance and project execution experience in global delivery centres. - Ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural, distributed team environment.
