As a Functional Data Domain Lead in Insurance, you will play a crucial role in designing, governing, and enabling high-quality insurance data across the enterprise. Your responsibilities will include: - Leading and managing end-to-end insurance data management processes to ensure data integrity, accessibility, and compliance with standards. - Partnering with various teams to identify data needs, pain points, and business use cases in the insurance value chain. - Collaborating with IT teams to design and implement scalable data solutions aligned with business strategies. - Defining and enforcing data standards, governance policies, and quality frameworks. - Contributing to technology and data roadmaps supporting future business capabilities. - Enabling actionable business insights through collaboration with analytics and reporting teams. - Staying updated on emerging technologies and best practices in insurance data management. - Communicating effectively with stakeholders regarding project status and milestones. - Applying analytical skills to interpret complex insurance data for decision-making. - Balancing strategic initiatives with day-to-day operational needs in a dynamic environment. - Advising on product features, pricing, financial reporting, and hedging strategies. - Utilizing SQL skills for data querying and analysis independently. - Demonstrating leadership and stakeholder management capabilities across teams. Qualifications required for this role include: - Minimum 12+ years of relevant experience in insurance data management or related fields. - Expertise in insurance data domains such as policy, claims, underwriting, and reinsurance. - Deep understanding of insurance financial and actuarial processes. - Proficiency in SQL or equivalent query languages. - Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and metadata management principles. - Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills. Preferred qualifications include: - Background in statistical analysis, machine learning, and data visualization. - Experience with data warehouse and business intelligence initiatives. - Familiarity with core insurance systems like MG-ALFA. - Understanding of regulatory and statutory reporting. - Exposure to cloud platforms and modern data architectures.
