Fullstack Developer (PHP + React + Node.js Exposure) Prestashop

Role Overview: As a Fullstack Developer at Berkowits, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing the existing PHP-based infrastructure, while driving the migration towards a headless React/Node.js architecture. Your role will involve collaborating with UI developers, backend engineers, and product stakeholders to deliver clean, scalable solutions that enhance performance and user experience. Key Responsibilities: - Maintain and enhance existing PHP-based systems. - Collaborate with frontend developers to implement and evolve React/Next.js applications. - Design and develop Node.js microservices and REST APIs for core business modules (Authentication, CRM, Customer Profiles, etc.). - Build and integrate APIs for e-commerce workflows using Shopify. - Participate in server operations and deployments, including Linux environments, staging setups, and backups. - Follow best practices in code quality, documentation, and Git version control workflows. Qualifications Required: - Strong grasp of backend programming, debugging, and legacy code maintenance in PHP (Core or Laravel). - Comfortable with customizing themes, apps, or APIs for e-commerce flows in Shopify. - Proficiency in building dynamic interfaces, routing, and API integrations with React/Next.js. - Experience in Express or NestJS for RESTful API development with Node.js. - Deep understanding of queries, joins, and performance tuning in MySQL. - Experience with schema design, aggregations, and performance optimization in MongoDB (NoSQL). - Familiarity with branching strategies, pull requests, and basic CI/CD workflows in Git. - Basic server management via SSH, file handling, and cron jobs in Linux Hosting (VPS/GoDaddy).
