Role Overview: As a Senior WordPress Engineer at Diginnovators, you will play a crucial role in the development, maintenance, and optimization of web applications and platforms. Your responsibilities will include designing, developing, and implementing complex web applications using WordPress, Custom PHP, Laravel, CodeIgniter, and MERN Stack technologies. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and ship new features, optimize applications for speed and scalability, perform code reviews, and stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices in web development. Additionally, you will troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, contribute to architectural decisions, mentor team members, and ensure clean and efficient code. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and implement complex web applications using WordPress, Custom PHP, Laravel, CodeIgniter, and MERN Stack technologies. - Develop and integrate RestAPI and GraphQL API within WordPress and PHP-based systems for enhanced functionality and data interaction. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features. - Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability. - Perform code reviews, identify areas for improvement, and advocate for best practices. - Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices in web development. - Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs. - Conduct performance tuning, improvement, balancing, usability, and automation. - Work closely with graphic designers and other development teams to ensure effective implementation of web content and applications. - Provide expertise in the development process, coding, testing, and deployment. - Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner. - Contribute to architectural and design decisions. - Participate in the full software development lifecycle including requirements analysis, design, and estimation. - Document code and technical solutions. - Provide technical guidance and coaching to team members. - Collaborate with other engineers to create and maintain clean, efficient, and well-documented code. Qualification Required: - Educational Background: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. - Work Experience: Proven experience as a Web Engineer or similar role. - Technical Expertise: Expertise in WordPress, Custom PHP, Laravel, CodeIgniter, and MERN Stack development. - API Proficiency: Strong hands-on experience with RestAPI and GraphQL API, particularly in PHP coding within WordPress environments. - Front-End Proficiency: Proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, including modern libraries and frameworks. - Web Application Knowledge: Solid understanding of web application development, architecture, and best practices. - API Integration: Experience with web services and API integrations. - Database Knowledge: Strong understanding of database design and optimization. - Version Control: Knowledge of code versioning tools such as Git. - Multitasking Ability: Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities. - Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Team Collaboration: Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team environment. - Agile Experience: Experience with Agile development methodologies. - Leadership Skills: Ability to mentor and lead junior developers. - Project Portfolio: Portfolio of projects demonstrating expertise in web development. - Security Practices: Understanding of security best practices in web development.
