Full-Stack Developer

Job Summary

We are a cutting-edge biotech company leveraging artificial intelligence for drug discovery. We are seeking a Full-Stack Developer to develop and maintain scalable web applications that bridge AI-driven insights with complex biological data. In this role, you will collaborate with data scientists and scientific teams to transform domain-specific needs into robust technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain full-stack applications using React.js (frontend) and Python (backend).
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and microservices for biological data workflows.
• Integrate AI/ML models into production systems in collaboration with data scientists.
• Optimize databases to efficiently manage large-scale biological datasets.
• Work closely with scientific teams to understand and implement biological and computational requirements.
• Ensure code quality, security, and performance through best practices and peer code reviews.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, optimizing application performance.
• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including API specifications.

Technical Skills

Generative AI & Machine Learning

• Experience with GenAI frameworks, including:
• LangChain for LLM-based applications.
• LlamaIndex for data ingestion and querying.
• OpenAI API integration & prompt engineering.
• Proficiency in working with vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, Weaviate).
• Experience building Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) applications.
• Familiarity with LLM fine-tuning and embedding models.

Frontend Development

• Proficient in React.js and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
• Strong grasp of HTML5, CSS3, responsive design, and UI frameworks.
• Experience with state management tools like Redux or Context API.

Backend Development

• Strong programming skills in Python.
• Experience with Flask, Django, or FastAPI for API development.
• Solid understanding of RESTful API architecture and best practices.

Databases & Cloud

• Experience with SQL databases and query optimization.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Exposure to containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).

Preferred Skills

• Understanding of bioinformatics concepts (a plus).
• Knowledge of data science libraries: Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn.
• Exposure to ML frameworks: TensorFlow, PyTorch.
• Experience with Server-Side Rendering (SSR) and Static Site Generation (SSG).
• Basic UI/UX design knowledge (Figma, Sketch nice to have).
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to simplify and implement complex scientific workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 6–8 years of total experience, with 3–4 years in full-stack development.
• Mandatory: Prior experience in the biotech or life sciences industry.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
