Full-Stack Developer (MERN Stack)

As an experienced engineer with over 2 years of web development experience, you will play a key role in our team by delivering end-to-end features in a modern JavaScript/TypeScript environment. Your responsibilities will range from creating pixel-perfect UIs in React to developing high-performance Node.js services. Additionally, you will enhance your skill set by working on DevOps, AI/LLM experimentation, and product-thinking. Collaboration with designers, product managers, and clients will be a regular part of your day, ensuring code quality and system reliability are maintained at all times. Your main responsibilities will include developing solutions and data by producing production-ready code for the front end (using React, TypeScript, Next.js, Tailwind/Chakra) and back end (using Node.js, Express/Nest, GraphQL/REST). You will also be involved in database design and optimization, primarily working with MongoDB and PostgreSQL. In addition to your development tasks, you will be expected to handle DevOps and quality-related aspects. This involves automating build, test, and deployment pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions/Azure DevOps and Docker/Kubernetes. You will promote unit, integration, and end-to-end testing, as well as observability using tools like OpenTelemetry and Grafana. To be successful in this role, you must have at least 2 years of experience in building web applications and have a proven track record of delivering a large MERN project. Your expertise should include a deep understanding of React, Node.js/Express, JavaScript, and TypeScript, with familiarity in SSR/ISR in Next.js. Proficiency in data modeling and querying with MongoDB (Aggregation Framework) and knowledge of PostgreSQL/MS SQL Server are essential. Furthermore, you should have a good command of HTML5, responsive CSS, bootstrap/tailwind libraries, modern state-management (Redux/Zustand/Recoil), and component testing. Experience with CI/CD using GitHub Actions, Docker, and at least one cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is required. A solid understanding of design patterns, microservices, REST API/GraphQL best practices, secure coding, and performance tuning is also crucial. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must, as you will be required to explain technical concepts and trade-offs to both technical and non-technical audiences. Additional skills such as Python (FastAPI), LLM prompt crafting, familiarity with vector databases, AI-assisted coding tools, web design principles, accessibility standards (WCAG 2.2), and exposure to serverless architectures and edge networks are considered nice-to-have for this role.
