Frontend Developer

You will be joining Codewalla, a New York-based product studio with engineering teams in India, known for building innovative products since 2005. The team at Codewalla values moving fast, thinking deeply, and pushing software boundaries to empower people and businesses. As a Front-End Developer at Codewalla, you will be responsible for building and optimizing high-performance, modular user interfaces for modern e-commerce and web applications. You will collaborate with designers, backend developers, and QA to implement responsive, accessible, and scalable front-end solutions. **Key Responsibilities:** - Build responsive, modular, and accessible UIs using React/Next.js. - Develop using TypeScript and ES6+ standards, implementing reusable components and efficient state management. - Work with custom Next.js configurations including routing, middleware, SSR, and SSG. - Design pixel-perfect and mobile-first layouts, ensuring cross-browser and cross-device consistency. - Utilize npm (or yarn) for dependency management and scripting custom build commands. - Improve Core Web Vitals using lazy loading, code splitting, and image optimization. - Implement project-specific logic using App Router and dynamic routes. - Ensure accessibility compliance using semantic HTML and ARIA roles. - Use GraphQL Playground/Postman and GraphiQL for exploring GraphQL schemas. - Support version control and collaboration using git and Bitbucket workflows. - Participate in Agile ceremonies. **Qualifications Required:** - 4+ years of front-end development experience in E-commerce using React and Next.js. - Strong knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and SCSS. - Familiarity with Tailwind CSS and SCSS. - Experience configuring Webpack, Next.js middleware, and node/npm. - Strong collaboration and communication skills. - Bonus: Experience with Figma or other design tools for developer handoff. - Bonus: Knowledge of Magento PWA with Next.js.
