Role Summary

Were hiring a freelance Interior CAD Drafter to produce contractor-ready 2D drawings with a quantified BOQ. Success = clean, coordinated, on-time drawings and accurate quantities that reduce site queries and align with our design intent.

Key Responsibilities

• Create 2D drawings (limited documentation as default):
• Floor plans with furniture and dimensions (space planning)
• Select interior elevations (kitchen + key bathrooms + 12 feature walls)
• Basic electrical (lighting points + primary power/switching as needed)
• Simple flooring layouts and basic wall tiling layouts
• Prepare BOQ (mandatory) from drawings:
• Flooring: material-wise areas (room-wise + totals), skirting lengths (rm)
• Wall tiling: areas by module/height, trims/edges (rm)
• Paint/finish: basic wall/ceiling areas if drawings support it
• Electrical: point counts by type/room (lights/switches/sockets)
• Fixtures: basic sanitary and light fixture counts (if annotated)
• Include an Assumptions sheet and take-off snapshots (screenshots or CAD print areas)
• Maintain CAD standards: clean layers, consistent line weights, correct scales/title blocks; purge/audit; no xref/proxy errors
• Ensure cross-sheet consistency; manage up to 2 revision rounds and update the BOQ accordingly

Deliverables

• DWG (AutoCAD 2018+ compatible) and print-ready PDFs (A1/A3)
• Drawing index with revision history
• BOQ (Excel) with: item codes, descriptions, UOM (m2/rm/nos), room-wise quantities, totals, notes/assumptions, and a summary tab

Timeline

• Start: Immediate or per project need
• Sample set in 35 days: 1 plan with furniture, 1 interior elevation, 1 electrical or flooring, 1 tiling + sample BOQ extract
• Typical project: 12 weeks for 1,5003,000 sq.ft (larger scopes up to 3 weeks)
• Revisions: up to 2 coordinated rounds; BOQ updated each round

Budget

• Submit your best quote:
• Per sq.ft: ?815 for limited documentation + BOQ (specify basis: built-up or super)
• Lump-sum for a 2,000 sq.ft project (limited docs + BOQ)
• Add-on rates (if needed): RCP, detailed electrical (circuiting/DB), plumbing, HVAC, authority formatting, extra revision, expedite

Qualifications

• 2+ years in interior documentation (AutoCAD) with proven quantity take-offs
• Strong drafting fundamentals; clear annotation; contractor-readable sheets
• BOQ skills: disciplined take-offs, room-wise structuring, transparent assumptions
• Detail-oriented, responsive, organized; version control in remote workflows
• Diploma/Bachelors in Architecture/Interior Design or equivalent experience
