FPGA Engineer

AlphaGrep Securities Private Limited is a proprietary trading firm specializing in algorithmic trading across global asset classes. Leveraging technology, risk management, and quantitative research, we maintain a significant presence in both Indian and global markets. Utilizing a disciplined quantitative approach, we identify alpha-generating factors and integrate them with our proprietary low latency trading systems to develop trading strategies across various asset classes. We are currently seeking a "full stack" FPGA developer with a minimum of 3 years of industry experience in hardware development to contribute to the enhancement of our hardware platform for low latency trading. The chosen candidate will play a crucial role in all stages of hardware development at AlphaGrep, focusing on architecting and constructing FPGA based trading systems for our most latency critical strategies. Responsibilities: - Design, implement, test, integrate, and deliver low latency trading systems. - Develop low latency designs in Verilog/System Verilog. - Create test harnesses for verification using self-checking test benches and BFMs. - Integrate developed firmware with other system components and software on the target hardware. - Participate in peer design reviews and requirements capture. - Operate in a fast-paced, iterative development environment. - Ensure compliance with company values, policies, and ethics codes. - Undertake any other activities as requested by management. Qualification & Skills: - Degree in electronics/engineering or relevant field; experience may be considered in lieu of formal qualifications. - Proficient in design standards and possess strong debugging skills. - Hands-on experience in Digital Design and FPGA Architecture. - Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities. - Familiarity with digital hardware design principles. - Experience in developing self-checking testbenches and BFMs. - Knowledge of software, networking, digital communications protocols, and general networking concepts. - Proficiency in developing on Altera and Xilinx FPGAs. - Experience in RTL writing using Verilog/System Verilog or VHDL. - Familiarity with Vivado and Questasim engineering tools. - Experience in a linux-based development environment. - Proficient in scripting languages such as tcl/tk and python.
