Designation: Foundry Quality Manager Qualification & Experience :: Diploma in Mechanical Engineer / BE Mechanical / B-Tech with 10-15 years in foundry. Technical Skill: Foundry process knowledge 7 QC tools PPAP Metallurgy Knowledge Dimensional Standards Knowledge of IS & customer standards Defect analysis and CAPA 5 S,QMS, IATF, SAFETY SOFT Skill: Leadership Skills Problem solving skill / Decision making skill / Research & Analysis Relationship building/ Networking/ Positive Working relationship Organizational awareness / Ethics & integrity Conflict management Customer Liaison Analytical Thinking Reporting to : GM FOUNDRY No of reportee :5 Job Description: Responsibility 1. Review quality reports on the performance of external vendors on quality standards, including raw material inspection, service quality, etc. 2. Drive coordination with Customer Care and Coordinating & Monitoring team for casting issue 3. Resolve customer complaints related to casting product quality. Oversee investigation and interactions with production, design and development teams to address the root causes of such quality complaints 4. Handle and coordinate customer visits to the organization and periodically review vendor ratings based on feedback on Quality Control observations 5. Identify and implement the Manufacturing Engineering and Process Excellence initiatives in conjunction with the production team. Suggest opportunities for quality improvement, cost reduction and process improvements across various stages of manufacturing 6. Develop Operational Excellence activities like Kaizen, poka-yoke, TQM, QC tools and coordinate with the production team for uniform implementation 7. Review and validate the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and protocols for business processes/departments 8. Making PPAP documents /reports for new product launch, PCN , ECN 9. responsible for developing quality system to meet day to day requirements of the customers and to ensure activities are run to program, meet the customer and company's requirements & target. 10. To co-ordinate the daily operation of foundry personnel jointly with Head - Production 11. Review and lead activities and output of Metallurgy Lab, Sand Testing Lab, Chemistry Lab and felting stage final inspection 12. To perform Product and Process audit independently 13. To handle customer complaints-Tracking, Records and closure 14. To evaluate method of inspection, use of instrument according to engineering drawing 15. To prepare PDI / MTC Report, Layout Inspection, Updating documents like Control Plan, FMEA 16. To identify training needs for his/ her team and mentoring them 17. Knowledge of Internal Quality Audit, Product and Process Audit, CAPA, SQC, Quality Standards 18. Good overall awareness of occupation health and safety Accountability: Ensure strict adherence to all statutory requirements in the quality compliance as per all regulatory requirements and standards like ISO, TS, OHSAS, and TPM Internal rejection /Q issue actions measuring and monitoring To handle Quality Issues i.e. identifying Non conformity, analysing the data, carrying out Root Cause analysis, CAPA Ensure all customer CSR are reviewed- documented and implemented in process
