About the Role:

Tropica Industries is seeking a formulation expert with experience in agrochemical products—specifically in pesticide and herbicide formulations. This is a short-term, high-impact role based in Abidjan, ideal for a technical professional who can assist with setting up or improving agrochemical production standards and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and optimize formulations for pesticide and herbicide products
• Ensure compliance with local and international chemical safety and environmental standards
• Guide the setup and standardization of formulation and blending processes
• Conduct trials, testing, and stability studies for new or revised formulations
• Create technical documentation for regulatory and quality purposes
• Provide training to local staff on formulation procedures and safe handling
• Coordinate with production, QC, and regulatory teams

Requirements:

• 3–7 years of experience in agrochemical formulation (pesticides and herbicides)
• Strong understanding of active ingredients, surfactants, and additives
• Knowledge of chemical handling, safety protocols, and regulatory standards
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Agrochemical Engineering, or a related field
• Ability to work independently in a cross-cultural environment
• Fluent in English; French is a plus
• Willingness to travel or relocate short-term to Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire
