Role Objective The Portfolio Performance Analyst will play a key role in supporting the Investment Team—including the Head of Investments, Portfolio Managers, and Product & Research Analysts—through data management, performance computation, and reporting. The role demands strong attention to detail, comfort with spreadsheets, and the ability to transform data into actionable insights and presentation material for client and internal reviews. Roles & Responsibilities * Data Management: Gather, validate, and consolidate client portfolio data from internal systems, custodians, and third-party platforms into structured formats (primarily in Excel). * Portfolio Structuring: Categorize holdings across asset classes, strategies, and geographies to facilitate performance evaluation and asset allocation analysis. * Performance Computation: Calculate time-weighted and absolute portfolio returns, prepare comparative performance summaries against relevant benchmarks, and maintain historical data records. * MIS & Reporting: Maintain internal performance trackers, dashboards, and periodic management reports for the investment team. * Presentation Support : Prepare clean, visually consistent review decks (on Mac/Keynote or PowerPoint) summarizing key insights for internal discussions and client meetings. * Process Efficiency: Assist in streamlining data flows, automating reports where feasible, and enhancing reporting accuracy and turnaround time. * Cross-Team Coordination : Work closely with product, research, and client servicing teams to ensure portfolio data integrity and timely reporting. Skills & Competencies * High proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables, lookup formulas, and charting); * Strong quantitative and analytical skills with keen attention to detail * Ability to organize and handle large datasets efficiently * Working knowledge of financial instruments — Mutual Funds, PMS, and AIFs * Understanding of asset classes — Equities, Debt, Commodities, and Alternatives * Strong communication skills and team orientation * Proactive, reliable, and capable of working independently under defined timelines Minimum Qualifications * Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or Management; pursuing or completed CFA (preferred) * Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in investment operations, portfolio reporting, or performance analytics within a wealth management or investment advisory setup For any further clarifications, contact us at hr@foresightfos.com
