The Role We are seeking a Global Data Security & Compliance Manager to: Protect data across our group of companies through rigorous compliance and security oversight. Oversee external breach triage for DataProof clients — providing immediate, calm reassurance and ensuring smooth vendor handoff. This is an AI-powered role : you will work with advanced AI tools that automate monitoring, flag risks, and draft communications, while you focus on judgment, leadership, and client trust. A Day in the Life Morning: Review AI-generated compliance dashboards across Proof brands. Approve risk tags flagged from call, text, and email transcripts. Midday: Vendor compliance check — AI organizes insurance/licensing expiries, you validate and escalate as needed. Afternoon: Handle DataProof triage — jump on urgent client calls, review AI’s classification (e.g., ransomware vs email compromise), provide safe first steps, and dispatch to vendors. End of Day: Approve AI-drafted breach notification templates for clients, finalize, and deliver. What Success Looks Like 100% audit readiness with no expired vendor documents. Client triage SLAs met — calls answered and stabilized within 15 minutes. AI triage classifications accepted or adjusted with >90% accuracy. Vendors consistently meet SLA response times. Clients leave every triage interaction reassured, with a clear path forward. ResponsibilitiesInternal Security & Compliance (70%) Design and enforce security policies across brands. Use AI transcript monitoring to detect compliance risks. Maintain AI-powered vendor compliance dashboards. Conduct AI-assisted audits and deliver executive-ready reports. Train staff and vendors with AI-supported learning modules. External Breach Triage Oversight (30%) Act as the client-facing lead in emergencies — stabilizing, scoping, and reassuring. Approve AI-powered classifications of breach type and severity. Dispatch vetted Incident Response vendors and track SLA adherence. Review AI-drafted summaries for vendors and clients. Validate AI-generated breach notification templates (PIPEDA, GDPR, CCPA). What We’re Looking For 5+ years in cybersecurity, compliance, or IT risk management. Strong knowledge of privacy laws (PIPEDA, GDPR, CCPA; HIPAA a plus). Familiarity with incident response frameworks (NIST, ISO 27035). Client-facing consulting experience, leading conversations with decision-makers in high-pressure contexts. Strong communicator, calm under pressure, able to inspire confidence. Comfortable leveraging AI for monitoring, classification, and drafting. Self-directed, globally minded, thrives in a remote-first team.
