Foreign Accounting Manager

As a Senior Accountant at our company, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and timely reporting of financial information in compliance with international and local accounting standards. Your responsibilities will include managing monthly, quarterly, and annual closings, preparing financial statements, and collaborating with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities when needed. Additionally, you will be tasked with implementing and upholding robust internal controls and accounting policies to safeguard the financial integrity of the organization. You will leverage your expertise in financial tools such as Xero, MYOB, and others to streamline accounting processes and reporting. In this role, you will lead and mentor a team of junior accountants and finance staff to foster their professional growth. Furthermore, you will provide support for budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management activities to contribute to the overall financial health of the company. To excel in this position, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with a preference for a CPA/CA qualification. A minimum of 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience, including exposure to international practices, is required. Proficiency in Xero and MYOB accounting systems, along with a strong understanding of Australian accounting standards and compliance, is highly beneficial. Your exceptional attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting tight deadlines will be key to your success. Excellent communication and leadership abilities are also essential in this role. Desirable attributes for this position include experience in a multi-currency and cross-border accounting environment, knowledge of other regional tax systems, and a background in process improvement and digital transformation within the finance function.
