Job Description – Academic Counsellor (FOCAS Edu) Position: Academic Counsellor Location: Aalamaram Startup Incubator, Coimbatore Experience Required: Minimum 1–2 years in EdTech (counselling/sales for professional or higher education courses) Employment Type: Full-time About FOCAS Edu FOCAS Edu is a fast-growing EdTech brand dedicated to transforming the CA exam journey for students across Tamil Nadu. We offer Personalized Fastrack Classes, Last Attempt Kit (Question Bank , Tests and Other Supplements) We are now looking for an experienced Academic Counsellor to join our Coimbatore team and play a crucial role in guiding students towards success. Key Responsibilities Student Counselling: Counsel CA aspirants and their parents on course options (CA Foundation, Inter & Final), study models, and success strategies. Enrollments: Convert leads into confirmed admissions while ensuring ethical and student-first counselling. Relationship Building: Build strong rapport and trust with students, motivating them to stay committed to their preparation. Follow-ups & Tracking: Maintain structured follow-ups through calls, WhatsApp, and emails while updating CRM/Google Sheets. Workshops & Events: Actively participate in FOCAS Edu’s info-sessions, webinars, and offline events like Re-FOCAS . Target Achievement: Consistently meet counselling and enrolment targets in line with organizational goals. Academic Coordination: Liaise with faculty, tutors, and operations team to ensure smooth onboarding and student support. Key Requirements Experience: Minimum 1–2 years in EdTech counselling/sales , preferably in the professional courses (CA, CMA, ACCA, CFA) space. Education: Graduate in any discipline (Commerce/Management background preferred). Skills: Strong communication skills in English & Tamil Student-centric counselling approach with convincing ability Proficiency in Google Workspace, CRM, and WhatsApp Business tools Mindset: Growth-oriented, empathetic, and motivated to help students succeed in their Last Attempt journey .
