Description
As a skilled and experienced Senior Applications Fluid Systems Engineer at the company, you will play a crucial role in supporting innovative solutions for industrial gas turbines. Your responsibilities will include: - Replacing obsolete and outdated auxiliary equipment to ensure the continued reliability and efficiency of products - Engaging in design, coordination, and problem-solving activities - Collaborating with multi-functional teams including mechanical design, controls, and electrical engineers for flawless integration of designs - Applying the latest systems and technologies to improve performance and reliability - Collaborating with internal departments, regional divisions, suppliers, and customers to drive project upgrades within allocated budgets and timescales - Documenting solutions for consistent application across projects - Identifying and sourcing replacements for components and systems - Proposing and implementing package upgrades to enhance the product lifecycle - Generating and maintaining engineering documentation such as purchase specifications, design calculations, Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), and technical reports - Providing technical recommendations to support future upgrades Qualifications required for this role include: - Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, or HNC in Mechanical Engineering with relevant experience - Several years of proven experience in a Fluid Systems or equivalent role within a similar industry - Knowledge of fluid system components and technologies - Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software and 2D CAD software is advantageous Exceptional communication and coordination abilities are essential, along with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver them within set timescales. Occasional international travel may be required for customer and vendor meetings, as well as site surveys.
